STUBHUB

CRAIGLIST LISTING

I couldn’t find them anywhere; not Ticketmaster, not Stubhub, not even EBay so I went ahead and purchased my Wicked tickets from someone on Craigslist.  The listing seemed believable; the couple selling them was planning a trip to New York City and had purchased the tickets to coincide with the dates of their vacation.  A family emergency had come up and forced them to cancel the trip, making the tickets useless to them.  They were only asking for face value of the tickets, just enough to recoup their losses.  I got a money order for the value of the tickets plus the cost of shipping and sent it out to them in Cincinnati, and then I waited and waited for my tickets to arrive.  Just when I was starting to get a bit nervous and envelope arrived in the mail.  I opened it up and there were the two tickets – no note or anything else which I thought was a little unusual.  Upon inspection of the “tickets” I again became pretty nervous – they seemed almost like they were made from construction paper.  They were flimsy and poorly printed, it was at that moment that I came to the realization that I had been ripped off.
